挑戰完成！

剛結束Live Art Battle，只能說，超。好。玩！一到現場，就看到好幾張桌子和帆布畫架，數一數，總共是八人，用噴漆作畫的佔了一半以上。

我右手邊的對手是去年比賽的冠軍，也是Geraldton當地很有名的藝術家Shay。在我左手邊的對手則是一位坐在輪椅上的老爺爺。這兩位是參賽者中唯一的兩位男性，其餘的都是女性，另外還有兩位十幾歲的小女孩們參賽。

三十分鐘真的很快就過去了，我盡情地用手抹顏料。比賽的帆布，是我練習畫畫用的六倍大。人生中第一次畫這麼大幅畫，超過癮！！！抹完背景，接著就畫樹，樹畫完後刷草，接著畫天鵝，本來就只想畫兩隻，但想到我一家人都來到現場支持我了，於是我決定畫了一家人。最後補上小白花，最後五分鐘再把樹修一修，完成！

現場是靠觀眾們歡呼聲的大小來決定得獎者，主持人一一過問藝術家們繪畫作品，然後讓觀眾用掌聲和歡呼來響應他們最喜歡的那一個。作品從章魚、夕陽、人物繪畫、海鷗、花、抽象畫到我的繪畫，主持人對我用徒手作畫感到非常有趣。我把繪畫命名「夕陽，樹與天鵝」，掌聲當然是了了無幾，哈哈哈哈！

作品將被移置活動中心作義賣，主辦人要我在下禮拜一前決定定價，夭壽喔…這可難倒我了！我根本不知道該怎麼訂價啊！重點是真的有人會買嗎？？我超沒自信的。

總之，我很高興能有這個機會能在戶外且在眾目睽睽之下畫畫，我玩得很開心也非常地享受。是一場很棒的經驗，值得為自己大聲歡呼！

小笑話：

當主辦人問我帆布是要landscape還是portrait時，我以為她在問我是要畫風景畫還是人物畫。(心想：我是要畫風景那就是選landscape吧！)結果她把我的帆布從值得擺到橫的(喔不！！)花了三十秒才總算會意到，landscape=橫放，portrait=直放，真是喔！(內在對自己的語言的誤會感到非常的可笑)

Challenge Done!

I just finish Live Art Battle, oh, I have SO MUCH FUN!!! There were lots of tables and canvas set up already. I counted, there were 8 participants. And half of them used spray paints.

On my right hand side it’s the champion from last year, the very famous artist Shay. And on my left hand side, it’s an old man on the wheel chair. These were the only two men in the battle, the rest of us were women plus two teenage girls.

30 minutes had gone so fast. I used my bare hand smear the paint by heart. The canvas at the battle was six times bigger than the one I practiced. First time in my life to paint such a big canvas, the feeling was GREAT!! I smear the background then paint the trees. After the trees I brushed on grasses. Then I painted the swans, it supposed to be only two swans, but since my families were here supporting me, I decided to paint a family. At last I painted some white flowers, and the last 5 minutes I fix the tree a little bit, then it’s done!

The winner of the art battle depended on the level of cheers from the audiences. The host asked the artist the name of their painting one by one, and let the audience respond their favourite one by their cheers. Artworks included octopus, sunset, people, seagull, flowers, abstract then my painting. The host was impressed of me using bare hand to smear the paint. I named my painting “Sunset, Trees and Swan,” and of course I didn’t get many cheers. Bahaha!

All the artworks will be placing in the QEII centre for sale. The coordinator told me she will ring me on Monday to check my set price. Shit..it really got me! I have no idea how to set a price at all. The point is, is there really anyone would like to buy this piece? I have no confident at all.

Anyway, I’m glad I had the chance to paint outdoor with crowds behind me. I had fun and thoroughly enjoy it. What an amazing experience! Hooray for me!

A little joke: 

When the coordinator asking me whether I want my canvas landscape or portrait I thought she's asking me what subject I choose from. (My brain: I'm going to paint scenery so that should be landscape!) So I told her and she turned my canvas around. (No!) After 30 seconds I finally realized landscape means horizontal and portrait means vertical! Oh dear me..(laughing inside my heart very badly)
