Be the I in Kind

(此為十月七號在臉書分享的擺攤心得記錄)

昨天在城裡舉辦的Sunshine Festival中又完成了擺攤的盛舉！這次擺攤主要的用意是要推廣善心石計畫Be the “I” in Kind的活動。我家超有才華的老公幫我做了超大型的木製英文字母，我把愛心型的板子一面畫彩虹一面畫紅色供人選擇拍照用。

我也設了一張桌子供大小朋友們來畫免費的石頭並在上頭寫上鼓勵文字後，留給我做捐獻或是自行帶回家或藏在公園裡。有一個年紀大約12-15歲的男孩寫下了類似「充實的過你的人生，因為你只活這麼一次」的字眼，讓我感到非常的訝異。我在他這個年紀時，連人生是什麼都毫無概念，這個男孩真的有啟發到我，我不知道他是經歷過了些什麼而有了這超齡的體悟，但是他絕對指引著我方向：我的善心石必須繼續做下去！

The Kindness Rocks Project

我真的很幸運能在此次擺攤賣出了一些石頭並獲利。謝謝那些光臨與支持我石頭小舖的人們，你們完全不曉得當我在前兩個小時中只賣出一顆$1.50澳幣的小磁鐵時內心認為一整天可能就是這樣的崩潰感，所以真的很謝謝你們！

也因為我一桌賣作品，一桌畫石頭的緣故，我沒辦法完全的顧好我的攤子導致我的一顆石頭被一個小朋友偷了。我知道她很想買那一小顆石頭，但是我是賣一整組地所以拒絕賣她，結果就發生憾事了。真是學到教訓了。

無論如何，我真的非常感謝我辛苦奉獻的老公，他幫我設攤、設木牌、照顧我和孩子們，還幫我打包、回家又煮晚餐等等。沒有他的支持我根本做不來，文字真的無法表達我內心的感激，謝謝你我親愛的老公。

下一次擺攤我的目標是要有完全不一樣的感覺，因為我發現只賣彩繪石頭真的是太無趣了，需要一點什麼來活化一下，讓我們拭目以待吧！

Another market day done yesterday for the Sunshine Festival! As my main purpose is to promote "Be the I in Kind" for the kindness rocks project, my very talented husband had made me big wood signs to display on that day. I've painted the heart shape with rainbow on one side and red on the other.

And I have a free rock painting table for people of all age to write positive words on it and leave it, take home or hide it. There's one boy around 12-15 written something like "live your life to the fullest because you only live once." I was amazed really. I don't think when I'm in this age I'll be able to understand life like this. That boy had me thinking. I don't know what he's been through, but he definitely points me to the right direction: I have to keep the kindness rocks going!

I was really lucky to sell my rocks and make a profit. Thank you for those who come to check my stall and support me. You just have no idea how I feel when the first two hours I only manage to sell one magnet for $1.50 and I thought that's what I'm going to make for the whole day. So thank you!

And because I have a table of selling, a table of rock painting, without a full supervised, I have a rock been stolen by a young kid. I know she wanted to buy one, I said no because it's selling for a whole set, and then this happened. Well, lessons learn.

Anyway, I'm really thankful for all the hard job my amazing husband devoted, help me set the stall up, set the sign up, look after the kids and me, and help me pack away and cook dinner etc. I really can't do this without his support; words just can't express my appreciations inside my heart. Thank you.

My goal for next market day would be a total different look, as I find out that its bit boring to just have painted rocks really. Definitely need something to brighten up. Let’s see!
